But only 3 months after its historic launch, Apple cut down the price by almost $200. Last September 5, Steve Jobs surprised hundreds of thousands of early iPhone adapters in the United States in the decision to lower the iPhone cost with the release of the newest iPod touch. iPod touch, an iPhone without the phone capabilities, are now sold for slightly lower than the first iphone cost. With this change, many Apple iphone fanatics were shocked and puzzled.

Apple' CEO believes that there is no better time to do it but now. Being a new innovation, it is expected that a lot of other manufactures will create similar gadgets.
